Product Lead

About the role

For this role, we are seeking a highly technical and ambitious strategic thinker to lead the engineering team as we streamline current products and define new offerings. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial minded, agile and intuitive product builder with experience building zero to one products with very limited data. You will be responsible for defining new user-centric solutions, communicating your vision to the team and effectively executing on existing product but also to proactively step up and design the future of our customers’ product journey with us.

You are a customer-obsessed, product building, detail-oriented founding team member, and people will look to you to help build the future of our company. You understand what excellence looks like, can quickly define weaknesses and help build OpenOrigins into a product-centric leader for trust online.

Responsibilities

You will report to our co-founders. Your key responsibilities are:

• Product Ownership: Identifying opportunities and owning product vision, direction, strategy, roadmap, development and launch, ensuring user-centric alignment. You will own the entire product development lifecycle, from early research to release

• Customer-Obsessed: Working closely with our clients, refining our offerings with their help. Research, learn, adapt and build.

• Communicate and Motivate: Driving development alongside the engineering team, defining vision with the leadership team, coordinating with all departments (marketing, sales etc)

• Tracking Success: Defining and analysing metrics that inform the success of products. Identifying and tracking key performance metrics

Qualifications, skills & experience

• We like to hire on ability, motivation and aptitude rather than only on past experience. Background is important, but it is not enough by itself

• What makes you a good fit:

  • 3+ years experience in zero-to-one product development within deep-tech environments, preferably in AI or blockchain.

  • Super technical with an engineering background

  • Product experience at US companies highly desirable

  • Entrepreneurial attitude, with the ability to quickly iterate on product while leading cross-functional teams

  • Ability to communicate your viewpoints to a team and translate these into tangible product direction

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with short timelines.

• What might make you stand out:

  • Former founder or leadership experience at a startup or very early-stage company

  • Experience in related industries (blockchain, cybersecurity, news, marketplaces, generative AI)

  • Experience going through a full product lifecycle, integrating user feedback into product, driving prioritisation and pre-post launch execution

  • Experience in client-facing product roles
